In Poppyland, 1901
Oil on canvas
I love that this painting is titled "In Poppyland," instead of some generic "Field of Poppies on a Sunny Day" kind of title. :)

You know, poppies are pretty and everything, but I can never see or think of them without hearing the Wicked Witch's voice saying "Poppies....yyyes, poppies....sleeeep....*evil giggle*"
ReplyDeleteXD I love poppies, but anytime you mention them someone will mention the wicked witch of the west, or opium!
