Kate Perugini was not only the wife of one of my favorite artists, she was also the daughter of Charles Dickens, and modeled for one of my favorite paintings! You can read more about this interesting lady here.

  2. I think it's probably because her eyes are so large and dark . . . or maybe Victorian children just looked older! I think there was a similar comment about a Bougereau awhile ago . . .

  3. she is So cute and the flowers are amazing---I espec. like the pink ones. :) but the yellow top ones are so prettily light filled as well. :D
