The Property Room

Oil on canvas

I think this painting is rather mysterious. It looks like an illustration from a mystery, doesn't it? A curious/frightened looking girl steps into the theater's room full of props and costumes. What is she doing there? Definitely enlarge the picture and check it out, there's some cool stuff!

  1. I love this one! It's so cool and mysterious...I'm waiting for Erik to pop out and start singing. I love the colors, especially on the girl and dress. Just gorgeous.

  2. If you look down where the stairs continue into darkness you can just see a dark triangular shape that disappears behind the wall. The corner of a cape flitting past perhaps?

  3. I love the mystery and colors! The skull on the shelf seemed like some sort of foreshadowing seeming to say "watch out, danger," and there are all the weapons. But the wings and the crucifix are reminders that she's protected. goodness, what is down stairs?
